Touchless Ironmann Experiences
AirStrike, the iron man experience from Nicolas Loeillot on Vimeo.
Thousands of visitors could experience the touchless interaction with digital content displayed on a semi-rounded and transparent interface similar to what can be seen in the Iron Man movie. LM3LABS’ AirStrike was tracking fingers, hands and gestures very accurately in mid-air.

Short Review from the gamescom
1. Nicht mehr als ein ferngesteuertes Flugzeug:
2. Kinect funktioniert je nach Spiel gut bzw. gar nicht.
3. E3 NBA 2011 mit gemappten Faces auf den Avataren, shocking realistic.

Google Gesture Search
You may already be familiar with Gesture Search, our Android app from Google Labs that lets you search by writing out characters on the touchscreen of your device. Today we’re happy to announce a new version, Gesture Search 1.2, which includes a new motion gesture. By doing a “double flip”, or flipping your phone away and then back, you can start Gesture Search at any time.

1 Hour Design Challenge: Gestural Interfaces
"The latest 1 Hour Design Challenge: Gestural Interfaces was produced in partnership with Teague. Together, we challenged designers to think off the screen and make interfaces that live in the the objects and geometry of the world around us. In developing meaningful counterpoints to the flatness of all-in-one interfaces, we hoped you would integrate the richness of the physical world with the endless possibilities of digital information, tying together interface, ritual and context."

Smooth Gestures - Google Chrome extension gallery
* Powerful customization of gestures in options tab
* check out the Split Tab and Merge Tab actions for managing windows
* for linux: may require double clicking right mouse button to get to the context menu (but this should work smoothly)
* Does not work on the new tab page, this extension website, or other chrome*:// pages due to security restrictions for extensions. But it does work on almost all http:// and https:// pages.

Ubiq'window | The Future Is Transparent
Touchless interactivity is the new frontier
View more presentations from LM3LABS.
Ubiq'window provides accurate interactivity to any flat surface like shop windows, showroom walls.
Despite the buzz about multi-touch, this technology evolution is not a challenge and it should have grown earlier if legacy OS editors, as well as input device manufacturers, had got more vision.
Now, we cannot really blame them, multi-touch makes sense with multi-media content only. And we are just at the dawn of the multi-media era.
The real frontier in today’s interactivity is touchless interactivity. It is the real challenge as it requires a perfect control of changing environment, precision optoelectronics, 3D algorithms.
We re-worked the presentation about Ubiq’window, today’s only real mass production tool for touchless interactivity.
