Cube Interfaces

Cube Browser

CubeBrowser is the concept study for a six display cube with digital screens that makes it possible to browse online databases like Flickr.com. The control of navigation is exclusively accomplished by performing manual actions on the object, which creates a playful way of discovering image collections that are networked by tags. Ludwig Zeller is developing this project as his diploma thesis in audiovisual media at the Academy of Media Arts in Cologne. Originally, the project has been started within a research cooperation between Prof. Frans Vogelaar and the design department of Yahoo!. The diploma project is advised by Prof. Zilvinas Lilas, Prof. Dr. Georg Trogemann and Lasse Scherffig.

Gesture Cube

Gesture Cube uses 3D spatial movement tracking to help transform navigating a device into a magical intuitive experience. The underlying GestIC® technology detects your hand´s approach and movements - your favorite apps and media all at a wave of your hand.

Gesture Cube - No need to touch – just give it a wave!
